I'm going to vegas in April and was wondering if anyone knew of some pretty cool places to shot that are accessible from the strip easily (no transportation). thanks!

Caesars Palace
Venetian
Bellagio
Are a few of my favorites.
Be careful of photography rules in certain areas. They are not posted. Also depending on what venue you are shooting, they have there own cameras everywhere.

There are so many shoot ideas for the Strip. I love Vegas.
Have fun!

If you shooting out in public I would keep the equipment real simple to not draw too much attention.  I used a single camera only, that's it.  But there is so much there.  Don't forget Freemont.  You go a few blocks away from the Heart Attack grille and there is what's left of the old strip.  Not much traffic, cool retro signs in front of empty lots and places long closed.  The desert begins to come into view as well. Just a few suggestions.   Have fun!

In front of the Aria on the Vegas Strip is s popular place to shoot.  Especially popular to shoot rappers.

Some Vegas models are willing to drive out-of-town photographers to non-Strip locations like Nelson, the dry lake beds or Red Rock. wink
