So...I feel really weird posting a male nude but I still feel like it's pretty.  Thoughts?  Keep or delete?

I don't know that I'd describe it as "pretty," but it's not bad.  I don't care for the way it's composed (and I think I'd like it better oriented vertically), but I like the lighting and processing.

Edit: I think you should keep it. smile

That is a really great shot. When it comes to your art, do not sacrifice your beliefs (you like the photo) for anybody else. Keep it! I'm adding it to my favorites.

Why do you feel weird?  I like the shot.  I am glad to see that you shot it and you posted it.  I would definitely keep it.  Good work.

EDIT:  BTW, I presume that is your boyfriend since he posted directly above me.  That impresses me as well because it seems that it shows you both to be secure.

I have posted a male nude, also:

and I don't feel weird even though I prefer female nudes to male nudes.

But just one worthless opinion.  smile

Great male nudes are not easy to achieve, penis gets in the way more then it helps,, honestly. I think it is a good male nude,, I do like the work you have done other than the cropping, not a fan of this cropping.  The same shot,, at 3/4 or full shot with the nose facing away or to the camera, doesn't matter,,, would make this image a very good image.
Keeper,, yes till you shot 3/4 or full, then replace it with that...

The shot is good, but I'm really distracted by whatever you put him on.

Avoid that sort of thing if you're going for an art nude.

I would say this one^^^ is one of the better male nudes I have ever seen. All works, simple, great light and lines, the crop works here, making the off center triangle in a body landscape,,, very nice work...

Brava! I like it. You should keep it. Great work to the male model as well. He's handsome.

Backdrop outlet: candy floor.  I should probably have tossed down some muslin or something...the carpet has vinyl on it from when I tried ironing a vinyl backdrop on the floor (oops.)

love this one!

as far as the picture posted in the OP, I certainly thinks it's very interesting. lots of lines and shadows that make me want to keep looking. I agree with the person saying that the penis is distracting, but that is just personal preference. I would keep it smile

I think it was better before. Not enough body showing on this one.

But just one worthless opinion.   smile
