Hi all. Last year after the loss of my son I was compelled to learn the art of photography and try to make a career out of it. I get alot of paid work like family portraits, events and babies. I really want to step it up though and get interest from magazines and the art industry. From my port, am I heading in the right direction and how long did it take for you? If your there that is. Would love some feedback and direction if you could be bothered. Feb 26 13 01:56 am Link Feb 26 13 05:22 am Link You want to do fashion or more commercial stuff? Either way I think you need to work on lighting, composition, better models(poses, facial expressions) Your photos look amateur. Being caught in the moment i was uncorned though and just happy to have the camera in my hand. What do you think of my more recent work?. Lighting I agree with, better models is somewhat hard to find in a little town like this. Diamonds in the trailer park a few and far between, composition is always on mind and I try to include at least one every shot, poses and expressions is a huge problem for me that I need to work on. I find people with experience have more too offer in a shoot rather than someone who has no idea. Feb 27 13 01:26 pm Link Mark wrote: I also agree that longer time is needed to really perfect an art.
