For FIVE years running D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach CA has opened its doors one evening a month for this free photography and art community event .
Please join us once again in March for industry networking, portfolio sharing, and great company Tour the facilities of our $15-$20/hr rental photography studios, see the studios in action, and take part in open TFCD photo shooting.
RSVP's for studio first-timers are due to studio@dm-gremlin.com by 6pm on Wed Mar 27. Please include your full name and the full name of each guest who will be attending, along with a brief introduction as to whether each person is a photographer, model, stylist, friend/family member, etc. This event is free and open to all, but we do need to plan in advance for who and how many people will be in the studio for the evening.
We look forward to greeting returning friends, and meeting many wonderful models, photographers, and stylists in March!
RSVP's are open... I'm keeping the events a little shorter right now, though leaving option open to have things run later if we get going with a shoot and everyone's having tons of fun!
Looking forward to seeing people back in March! We had a fun little hangout in February, and have plenty of time for everyone to set the date in their schedules this month!
3 hours is plenty of time to come in after work, enjoy some company, do a little shooting, see the studio, and have us an enjoyable time for the event - the month is underway, so I'm excited for the RSVP's to come in!
Feel free to invite/bring friends - all they have to do is send their RSVP to the studio if they've never been. Everyone is welcome, with RSVP 48 hours in advance, so we know how big an event we're planning for!
Schedule confirmed, this will be a short one ending at 9pm... so come early evening, enjoy the hangout, then continue with your Friday night parties and activities!
Great musician jam here last night... this is a super creative space, not just for photography, and we love introducing artists in all the various aspects!
If my camera gear makes it back from Italy, I'll be there. If not, just figure I'll be battling severe depression and may not be fit for human company.

I hope you get your gear back, regardless. Or some serious insurance money!
You can come here for comfort and commiseration, camera or not, though!

FANTASTIC! I was just talking with a keyboard player last night who has a really rare Clavinet, and he was saying when they fly, the keyboard actually gets a seat of its own, rather than travel in cargo, because it can't even be replaced if lost... reminded me of you waiting to get your gear back, and I am SO glad you did - hope to see you next Friday!!

Great shot Cal - not sure if I'd seen this one. We've had SO many awesome shoots within the events over the years - almost always spontaneous, whatever the creativity of the participants generates!
