You do realize that unless you're looking for a 3rd-party-brand, it would be a miracle to find one of these made by Nikon for under $1,500 ?

I have have the older Nikon 28-70 2.8 (aka "the beast") if you're interested. It will be less than the 24-70 2.8 that replaced it, and many (myself included) agree that the older one outperforms optically the newer one.

Asking $1350 + S&H comes with everything included the sweet leather carry case.

It's just gaining dust on my shelf as I am using primes now more.
