Hi all! Just curious to hear from actual MUAs, hair stylists and the like on my port. I'm not a mua by any means but I've done all of the styling and makeup looks in my port. Anything I could improve on or I should try? Thanks!
I am no MUA, but I will chime in that everything in your port looks fairly clean as far as the makeup and styling goes. As a photographer, I can say that most photographers will also value this skill (depending on who you shoot with), for you to be able to style yourself. Some of the MUA's that I work with also post tutorial videos online of their work and how to create different looks. Maybe to improve, look up a couple MUA's that post and find looks that inspire you to try. good luck
I would highly recommend that you have a brow specialist teach you how to properly make up and shape them. You have beautiful eyes but your current brow shape and makeup is very distracting and not the most flattering.
Perhaps hire a makeup artist where you are whose work you admire to give you lessons.
Practice everyday on yourself, no matter what. Work on your complexion and precision (your "clean" makeup) in the morning before you start your day. At night, before you wash off your makeup, work on your weakest areas (example: cat liner) or try out more editorial looks. You'll be more willing to take a chance because you know you will be taking it all off afterwards.

Thanks for your opinion and I agree. I had an accident as a child so I have a scar over one of them where hair just refuses to grow back, thus making them uneven. There aren't many artists here who are comfortable with working on black women (that I've seen) but I'll definitely look up more ways to improve on them myself though

Thanks for your reply! I'll definitely continue to research more looks and try more things.

That's a wonderful idea! I've never thought to do that. Thank you for suggesting it
