Belinda had a blood clot which lead to a stroke on Thursday.  She was rushed to the hospital but is on a ventilator and shows no brain function.

I met Belinda here on MM and she has been a very good friend and colleague to me over the years.  Please send prayers, good thoughts and healing vibes her way.

I don't know Ms. Belinda, but I am sending my prayers her way, and to her family.

I hope she has a fighting chance and can make it. Barring that I hope her family and friends find peace in this difficult time.

I worked with her at NYFW last winter; she is an amazing artist & person, and I have everything crossed that's cross-able right now.

Doctors will be taking Belinda off life support today.  She was declared brain dead on Monday. Everyone is hoping for miracles, but I'll let you know if I hear more news.

Removal of life support was postponed.  Small miracle, she's with us one more day.

a family member of belinda posted on FB the other day that they have seen no change and are continuing to pray......the prognosis seems very bleak. believe miracles happen....hoping so much that is the case.

I haven't been in this forum in ages, and for some reason tonight I stopped in and saw this post...

Belinda has always been so sweet to me in the past, and I am so upset to hear this news. There are moments in life, like this, that make you question how something so terrible could happen to such an amazing person. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, but this is a loss we will all feel as she was such a bright talent and a beautiful woman.

For now, I'm sending hopeful thoughts her way as I'm sure all of her many friends, colleagues, and family are. Now is the time for a miracle.

Just thought to sadly update this thread with a posting made today on Belinda's Facebook timeline by her aunt, Merle Davis Samuel. 

"We had her, my niece Belinda, for 4 days. She was breathing on her own. Sadly, Belinda died today between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. Her family was at her side. God allowed her to hear her mom's voice for 4 more days. It is a very sad time for the family, but I have the assurance that God does everything well. There is a settled peace in my heart. Praise the Lord. I will post the final, rescheduled funeral arrangement when they are available. On behalf of the family of Belinda, thanks for your continued prayers and support. We love Belinda but God loved her best.
