The image I am submitting for your consideration was never intended to happen. It was entirely conjured from a couple hours of complete boredom while I was at work. I have shared the original sooc image with you to see the transformation. This image was edited entirely in Photoshop CS6.

I first reshaped the face, smoothed everything out so I had a moderately blank canvas for abuse. Added some textures, noise and saturation, blended them all together. I enhanced the eye a bit, sharpened the entire picture, dodged and burned various parts, upped the clarity slider quite a bit. As I progressed though the edit I went from thinking "zombie" to "crispy" - make it look as if she had been through hell and suffered an intense burn...or..sunburn? I guess I chose "sunburn" because in the PNW it would be a tad ironic because, well, we don't really get too much sun.

The reason I like this image is for its uniqueness within my portfolio, and I really like the way the skin texture and the eye turned out.

Fallen Angel

Photoshop: Background colour corrected and curve adjusted. Black graduate layer added from bottom of photograph. Model added via mask, and various selections made on dress to give an off white “fallen angel” appearance. Various selections of model selected and flipped to provide reflection. Feathers also added and flipped to show reflection. Wings originally taken from a white goose/swan and hand painted to give more of a feeling of being tainted.

It actually is my self-portrait :-) I shaved my head to make it. It was took on a grey background and then was changed using liquefy, different textures, levels, saturation, colours and curves adjustment to create an alien. The skin texture was carefully replaced and many subtle details added. The star-field was created in Photoshop and added as a background.
