Hey everyone!

I recently got this message and was wondering if anyone has worked with him and if hes legit.

His profile:
http://www.modelmayhem.com/1429635

Hi Adrienne,

I’m Scott, the talent coordinator for Girls Gone Wild Magazine.  I found you on Model Mayhem and think you would be fantastic for our magazine.  We’re currently casting fresh, “girl next door” type models for non-nude photo shoots. I think you're gorgeous and would make a great addition to our magazine. The style of our photo shoots is fun, fresh and natural, and very professional.

Girls Gone Wild Magazine is a men’s digital lifestyle publication similar in tone and content to Maxim.  This is a paid job (our base rate for a half day is $400 and can be negotiated up to $2000 depending on model experience), and you would be working with top photographers like our staff photographers, celebrity photographers Dominic Petruzzi (dominicpetruzziphoto.com)  Russell Baer (russellbaer.com), great hair and makeup artists and photo stylists. The magazine features stars like Kim Kardashian and hot upcoming models in swim wear.

In addition, we’ll be happy to give you retouched copies of the photos from your shoot, so it’s a great way to help build your portfolio. I’ve also placed links to two of our most currents shoots below for your review.

If you’re interested, please contact me at scottw@ggwbrands.com.  My office line is 310-405-0175. We are located at 10940 Wilshire Blvd, Floor 10, LA, CA 90024.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank You!!

Scott Webster

Well, it's a bit too articulate and professional to be a nigerian scam.
But, the Scott vs. Colin thing seems a bit odd.
Also, "Girls gone wild" is a definite trademark. So, unless they're actually part of that outfit, which they don't really claim to be. Well...

My guess, is that, what is going on (at the very least) is you'll be expected to do more nudity than your profile indicates you're comfortable with and/or some level of porn.

I suggest you CAM this and let the Mods sort it out.

if someone using an MM photographer page contacts you and says they are someone else and they are from a fake girls gone wild there is something really wrong.

ggwbrands.com is NOT EVEN girls gone wild. so this is fraud.
CAM it.

It is interesting,  I have a long history with them.  When I had my management company, I managed their first ever Girl of the Year.  Do you remember the first year when they had the girl sticking her tongue out from the shower?  They still use it as an interstertial occasionally.

This guy is talking about Girls Gone Wild Magazine, not Girls Gone Wild.  It is owned by them, but it is a little bit different:  http://www.girlsgonewild.com/magazine/

Now you are hitting the nail on the head.  It is a private register.  There is nothing to say it is owned by Girls Gone Wild.

I have no idea if this is real or not.  I suppose I could do some checking.  I am confused about this ggwbrands.com though.  I agree with you, it looks strange.

ggwbrands.com is NOT girls gone wild magazine though. different company different website different ownership. this guy talking about the magazine does not represent them.

That's needlessly/inappropriately vulgar don't you think, particularly being directed at the OP a female model.

Even if the offer is legit the company has filed for bankruptcy.

"The various incarnations of Girls Gone Wild, including GGW Brands LLC, GGW Direct LLC, GGW Events LLC and GGW Magazines LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles."

Girls Gone Wild files for bankruptcy
http://money.cnn.com/2013/02/28/news/co … index.html

"In documents filed with the court, GGW manager Chris Dale said the company has less than $50,000 in assets and fewer than 50 creditors. The debtor checked the box claiming "there will be no funds available for distribution to unsecured creditors.""

Talent is of course an "unsecured creditor".

That is true, but any debt incurred now, after the filing, isn't covered by the bankruptcy.  Put another way, if you work for them now, they are going to have to pay them, irrespective of the bankruptcy.

I submitted pictures to GGW before on their website and they do not pay as much as this person is saying but I never actually worked with them but this does not seem legit and the persons profile is no longer here so probably not a good sign lol.
