Anyone who claims a low-scoring game (like hockey or soccer) is boring hasn't watched this Penns-Bruins Game 3 marathon thriller.

Now that is no joke!  Hockey is fast!  A goal can be scored at almost any time in a matter of a few seconds!  Playoff hockey is even more intense.

Ahhhhhhhhh. smile

Crashed sometime about the 5 min. mark of 2nd OT. Wake up & check the web.
Big smile now. big_smile

Cindy, shine the clubs, put new line on your reel. The odds are 99% you're toast.

While I'm a complete believer in driving the stake ASAP, I would like to see it driven in game 5.

Boo-hiss...

Ya know.....
The Bruins were 9 minutes away from sure elimination in the 1st round.....no one in the world thought otherwise.....except themselves.

The Blaksuks odds while not as assured, were very slim against the Wings.

Now here we sit, both are but a game away from the finals....Bruins almost a lock, and the Suks just a little bit less.

And people wonder why I love hockey. big_smile

C'mon B's!

0-0 in the middle of the 2nd. Just need one more to advance.

It is looking quite possible that the Boston Bruins will win the Cup, and half of their losses will have been to Toronto.

Indeed, it looked like ~pre lockout where there'd be a bazillion guys around the crease.

Bruins are so boring but they swept my Pens.
Pens had no good chances until the end.
Pens looked good in Game 3 but otherwise not enough.

I hope the West rep beats the Bruins.

Pretty shocking the Bruins could shut down Malkin and Crosby like that. This series definitely reinforces the "defense wins championships" notion.

Redemption for Rask after that crazy comeback by Philly last year.

Ok, I'm sentimental because of the bombing but this is good for a city that needs some goodness and healing.   Boston Strong!  Beat the hawks!

Buh-bye flightless birds. Not only do you lose, you get swept, shutout twice and score 2 goals in 4 games.

Appears y'all made a error in judgment, Mr. Iginla.

Love it..... big_smile

I love my Pens, but that was brutal. Wonder what approach Ray Shero is going to take now? His four player additions had everyone saying "Pens win the cup" but good lord did it go bad at the worst possible moment. Murray was slow as molasses, Joikinen was invisible, Morrow hardly played, and Iginila looked like a shell of his former self. Maybe they were injured, but still...

Congrats to Boston. That was a stunning display of hockey execution.

Go Hawks!

Rask made huge saves and Pens hit a lot of posts.

Malkin hitting the post in game 3 < 2 mins in regulation was the series changer. Well that and the hooking Jagr did on him leading to the GWG.

They had some hits on Crosby in G4 that should've been interference but by that point the damage was already done and only Crosby,Malking, and a few others Pens were trying.

Dunno. Hard to pinpoint the exact problem. You didn't even mention that they got better by removing Fluery as the starting goalie, that's a problem.

lol   Yes!  I remember Chris Chelios more for his years with the Wings than his early time with the hawks.   That man is almost as old as I am, but he still looks like he could suit up, grab a stick and hit the ice today at 51 years of age!

Hawks and Kings tonight!
Can the Kings hang on for one more game?
I'd like to see that, but we'll find out soon enough.

Looks like I missed a thriller tonight.

See the end of the 2nd with the Kings down by 1. Randomly walk to a part of the restaurant where the TV & see they've made did something to tie it up & push it to 2OT. & then get home to find out the Hawks pulled it out.

Couldn't have asked for a better final. Looking forward to this series. Would love fo the B's to take it in 7, with a couple of OT games in there along the way

Game looked like it'd be barely watchable after Hawks took quick 2-0 lead.
There was a hit where a player went after Richards and that woke the Kings up and treated us to some great hockey. Short handed goal and another goal later to tie it at 2. Hawks took the 3-2 lead and then Richards ties it with ~10 seconds in regulation and we go to double OT for the winner.

Yeah so I see the Penguins need to get Rob Scuderi back and acquire Johnathan Quick as well wink
