Responders who say yes, I'll pick a photo from your portfolio that I'd be interested in editing.

Responders who say no, give me a friendly critique so I can improve.

Update: If your interested in me actually editing the image I choose please inbox me with your E-Mail and I'd be happy work on the Hi-Res version of it.  smile

My initial reaction was, I'd say no because your style is too distant from what I do - yours is more fantasy oriented, artificial and painterly. Which isn't necessarily bad.

However, the one image that is closer to some of my style (the blonde headshot), my critique would be unfortunately: What were you thinking with that skin??? I'd take it down as it really hurts your chances as a retoucher.

If asked, I would want to work on either your profile image, or

I think it would make an interesting Dark photo manipulation. smile

Yeah, I'm so so on that blonde edit. I was messing around with split frequencies. Might have another go at it then replace.

This image of yours is fabulous by the way

No. Not that you are bad (your more recent stuff is pretty good) but its just not what I am looking for in style (you seem more fantasy driven).

http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32747896 this image shows retouching skill. You took an okay photo and improved the skin without making it look unnatural. Your makeup touch for the eyelids was a really good choice and applied well and, the lashes. Nice work there. Very ace.

Other images struck me as having a juvenile taste, like you're nine years old and patiently waiting for your first fairy wings, because you were told you would get them. So, I'm iffy.

I don't really need any retouching. But the above image did impress me.

I actually felt the opposite. In my opinion, her fantasy work is her best work, and the photo you linked is the worst. (why would a retoucher want a grainy photo in their portfolio?)

The market for fantasy photos  for her style is not huge. The market for improving portrait photos is bigger. Much bigger. She significantly improved that photo. That shows real skill. And she might be able to even pick up retouching work for portraits on MM.

You do nice work, but no.

My photos represent me.

If you edit my photos they would represent you.

That doesn't make sense to me.

I was working on that particular image for a new project and I had just started testing out applying/repairing makeup I thought it looked pretty good for the quality the image had started out with.

The other images are my passion, not everyone likes what it is but it's what I want to learn and grow into. There are some great works that inspire me in the same genre, I know I haven't yet achieved the same level of awesome, but I'd like to think I improve with every image I make. Plus, it doesn't have to be fantasy; I can turn it into any ol' thing.

Thank you for your input I'm glad you think I have good skill with the image you pointed out. smile
