I need honest and serious evaluation of my images, both good and bad, as well as any suggestions or critique you may be able to offer. I will return the favor!

You've actually got a pretty good book going! You have a good variety of themes and poses. I would say maybe get a couple of clean glamour headshots to add to your book, but other than that it seems your going in a good direction! smile

Thank you Alyson! I have a shoot booked next week for the express purpose of getting good head shots smile

Now for yours:
I was prepared to offer critique but I am actually very impressed with your portfolio! Great MUA work, excellent photography, if I had one suggestion it would be to organize your photos to where some of the more interesting/conceptual ones are closer to your top row. Mix in the Bollywood one and the mask like eye makeup on the girl with the faux hawk in the upper rows with the more simple, everyday looks so that its a bit more eye catching and diverse?

Great work!

I think you have a varied and interesting set of images in your port.  Some I love and show both your skills and the skills of the photographer.  The following images would get me excited at the possibility of working with you.

Nice casual relaxed posed and engaging look from you.  Smart choice for your avatar.

I love the concept and the editing in this one and let's face it, you look awesome in this one.  It has a story, like the pose holding the scarf like that, off-camera glance helps with the mood.

I like this one because it shows your range. This has a nice warm, emotive, soft feeling to it.  I'm not 100% sold on the post editing but again, you look beautiful in this one.  One small thing though is your hand.  I generally prefer to have fingers extended to avoid that look like the fingers are cut off.  I barely noticed it but though I would mention it.

The editing is a little over the top but what I like here is this is the closest you have to giving us a face on portrait.  It shows of your lovely eyes and I even like that there is almost a hint of a smile there.

These start going a little down-hill from here.

I'm not in love with these two but they are decent and add some more variety to your port.

lovely foot but it could be anybody's foot.  Not helping your port at all IMO.

These have some odd editing choices and some awkward looking poses from you.  They make me more confused that interested. I could see why you would want to keep one if you wanted to venture into glam-style but it's not your best and the quality is no where near the best in your port.

This could have been interesting and it's certainly different but the pose and perspective are a bit of an odd choice IMO.  It looks like you are casually walking out of a hole?  I think you need something darker, sinister and more exagerated to pull off a theme like this.

It's a little cliche, but that is not a sin.  The guy on the right is an unwanted distraction and could be eliminated with a different crop.  I like your pose and expression but the soft light from above is a little dull and the details in the background a little distracting.  Not sure if this one is right for your port.

It's interesting and I like your look.  A little unfortunate about the uneven hard lighting on your face though.  Again, not sure if this one fits in your port.

This is a quirky one.  It's like a 60's referenced shot?  It's not quite pinup if that is what you were going for?  I love the styling, the lighting but the pose looks really contrived (but not in a good playful way) and your expression does not really sell the flirty attitude I think you both were going for here (with the over-the-shoulder glance and kicked up leg like that).  Maybe you have another from this set that would be a better fit for your port.

It looks like you know what you are doing and you are making some smart choices on who to shoot with.  So I am confident that you port will just keep getting better and better.  But I would seriously consider dropping some of the images in there that are showing you at less than your best.

Cheers, and thanks for the feedback on my other post.

Extremely, extremely helpful. I truly appreciate the feedback! I have dropped some from my port (even before seeing your thread, and I am happy to say I discarded some of the images prior to that!) and added new images from another shoot.

This is what I needed! Thanks!smile

Yes, I agree with Alyson. With your beautiful face it would be nice to see some really close head shots. Other than that I think your portfolio shows you as a versatile model in a variety of shoot situations. I also like your hand gestures. Have you studied dance?
