For those who say Nicholas Cage gets worse with every passing year, I dissent. I maintain he couldn't have gotten worse than 1991's "Zandalee."

Reaching back into years past for simply awful movies, I remembered "The Gauntlet" with Clint Eastwood. The Frazetta promo poster was the only redeeming feature of that waste of celluloid.

Ted. A movie about a talking teddy bear who smokes pot and snorts coke and bangs hot girls. And his best friend is Mark Wahlberg. In the end he almost dies because someone ripped his stuffing out.

I had forgotten Showgirls.  My reaction when I saw Showgirls was that no one remotely associated with that movie should ever be able to work on another Hollywood project. Life time ban.

Me, too.

The reaction of the parents the first time Ted walks into the room is pure gold.

I never walk out on movies but I walked out on "Goldeneye".    I love James Bond, but that one was a snorer.

I tried to forget about this turd. I was pissed, a friend said "If you like "Paul" then youll love "Ted" ... that movie sucked on multiple levels

OMG Fun thread.

Raiders Of Atlantis
It's bad because well, it's just bad. Beings formerly of Atlantis co opt a street gang into an army of unstoppable bad acting and violence. Even that part wasn't that good either.

The acting by the "heroes" was shall we say laughable... Soundtrack was abysmal.

Pluto Nash
Finally saw this this week for the first time and OMG turned it off after 10 minutes and snapped the DVD in half.

Queen Of Outer Space
Actually so bad it's worth one or two watches.

Astronauts land on Venus (that's right Venus) and find a society of gorgeous women and they are.... But the naughty women have been blowing up spaceships from Earth. It's actually not that bad. Some of the costumes inspired the uniforms of Star Trek I think.

How about The Thing With Two Heads (1972) with Roosevelt Grier (NFL defensive lineman) and Ray Milland.  This movie is so, so terrible!!!

You don't know my love for B movies. I mean, it wouldn't be a great B movie if the acting wasn't a serious attempt.

Now, this is not a B movie, but equally as great:)

Twilight. I was in highschool when the first movie came out and went to go see it with some friends... they were crying at the "romance" of edwards face shimmering in cheap digital effects, and I began laughing loudly. Needless to say I was the 'insensitive one' because of that. Lol.

That movie had piece of shit written all over it.. I wasn't fooled lol.

One that I remember not liking was "Pennies from Heaven", mostly because it starred Steve Martin, who I enjoyed as a comedian, playing straight role.

For whatever reason, established comedians are often not appreciated for playing straight roles.

Without a doubt!

Actually, I don't know if it's the worst, but DEFINITELY the worst OVERRATED movie ever.

Get Smart, the one with Steve Carrel. omg I couldn't get through it. nobody seemed like they cared in that movie. on the upside it's the only flick where I thought Anne Hathaway looked attractive.

You guys are killing me. Why's there so much unmitigated hatred focused on Nicholas Cage when Sam Worthington hasn't been a part of a single critically acclaimed movie yet? I mean, take your pick:

Avatar
Clash of the Titans
Wrath of the Titans
Terminator: Salvation

Although I have to say, The Last Airbender made me angry it was so bad. I'd heard so much about the series nd the trailer looked so promising. I'd never felt so ripped off, so violated by a movie.

That one was so over-the-top rotten, it was morbidly fascinating. It was weird to see Tim Robbins and Lea Thompson in such a stinker.

Has somebody said 'Pro....me...the...us' yet?

Why was it bad?

Because it built my hopes up then.... dashed them..... like the cheap wine bottle of expectation against the rocky shoreline of cinematic reality. smile

I've never seen:
Prometheus
Hudson Hawk
Showgirls
The Wicker Man (the remake)
Bonfire of the Vanities
Ishtar
Any of the Twilight shit

Would that be a Netflix weekend in Hell, or what?
