Hey there!

Article I wrote for new models just went live.

Thought this might be a good place for it.

I'm also willing to answer any follow up questions for anyone who has read it.

Cheers!

Good, upbeat advice with wonderful photo accompanyment.  I was struck by your beautiful hair in the photograph of you in the black strappy garment. Who did it?

Once you trade with someone, it is unlikely they will ever hire you for work.

--I don't agree with this...:
In my case (as an Art Photographer)
I'm More likely to pay someone I've worked with before doing a TFP shoot.

In fact-- if a girl doesn't feel it's worth her time to do a Trade shoot with me, there's almost no chance I'd hire her down the line. (--I already know what she thinks of my work--and photographers have delicate egos.)

this may be true from the photographer's point of view, but as a professional model I have seen very few exceptions to my statement. many people that don't want to pay models just add on "may lead to future paid work" as a tag line, but almost never hire models. if they do hire a model, maybe they will choose someone they already worked with. but it isn't usually worth doing a shoot just because it might possibly lead to paid work eventually. from a model's perspective.
