Yep but I can go a few weeks without shooting as long as I have projects to work on in Photoshop.

Never thought about being obsessed but in the end.. yeah I gotta keep working. I love the whole photography/post production process.

I've taken at least one picture every day for the past 213 days.  I've averaged about 350 a day, but really it huge spikes on the weekends and just a handful each weekday.

Yes Ali  in my case for two reasons.
- a burning need to be creative
- this is the only thing in life that I showed a modicum talent for

No, not all.

I have done 3 shoots in the last year.  I never really ask models to shoot.  I pass over a lot of offers, even nude.  I just shoot when I feel like it.

Obsessed during the shoot but when I take my breaks, I forget about photography.

Absolutely.

This 4th of July, I was shooting some local fireworks.  I barely noticed that some people starting running past me and away from the fireworks.  I was focusing on shooting the fireworks.  It turns out that a drunken neighbor was firing his rifle in anger, trying to get the group to stop shooting off the fireworks.  The people I talked to (it was a group of about 30 people) heard multiple rifle shots, heard his tirade at the group to stop the fireworks.  Me...not a thing.  I was totally, completely, absolutely focused on my shots (rather than his shots)

I'm in "antsy" mode and I just shot like 3 days ago. I'm always looking stuff up, coming up with new ideas. Sadly I get bored with the idea if I don't get it done in quick fashion. It goes into the back of my brain until a later point in time.

TOTALLY... I have a passion for images.  I did not think I could be more excited than I felt last year, but, I have been doing some training on view cameras and sketching this year and I am sooo in love with life.  We are so fortunate to have such a rich history of wonderful artists of many art styles to enjoy and learn from.

Outside of client requests I only shoot when I have a image in mind.  Now maybe I can be a bit obsessive during that time, but I feel no need to shoot just for shooting; to me that makes uninteresting images

Another problem I have is that I only like my photos for a few days!  Then I hate them and need to shoot more.

It's like crack! I keep doing it even though I don't like the results!

No, not really.

I do think about light and how it strikes something or how I can manipulate it or whatever.  Yes I do think about light almost all day and all night but it's really information that is running in the background.  Not right there in my face if that makes any sense at all.

Anyone who is at the ready to snap what they are seeing with their own eyes and always conscious of their camera in their arsenal, as if it were a gun, whether it be a mobile phone, CSC, compact or DSLR, is YES, obsessed.

If this be you, admit it.

Sorry but I hate type of comment, it took me several attempts to get the most basic of English qualifications due to being dyslex.

Is this type of minor correction is a waste of forum space by someone who is trying to prove how perfect they?

Absolutely! When I'm not actually shooting I look around and think about how people and places might look in a photograph.

*raises my hand* except for me it's 2 days after I start going nutty, instead of a week...

That's what I love about real estate, I can get all OCD and still manage to get stuff done while shooting. Light's different every day- clouds are different every day, if I don't like a  previous set of exteriors i've shot, I can just go do new ones !

Granted, I let a lot of my personal work drop to the side, but i'm still keepin busy !
