I've been trying to switch up my photos lately to achieve the best port possible.. If anyone has any thoughts, please comment or PM! Any photos I should ditch, my best, ect. Honesty is a virtue.

This is probably your strongest: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/19955121 The photographer isolated you nicely from the background, nothing to distract the eye from seeing YOU, and the exposure and focus are on point. The framing isn't exactly what I'd do, but that's the photographer's choice, not yours.

As a less-experienced photographer, my opinion probably doesn't hold as much weight as some others, and should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, my thoughts:

My tastes lend to this being your strongest shot-

It's a very pleasing angle, with good color and you are contrasted BEAUTIFULLY against the black background. It could use a little adjustment - light moved slightly more in front of you to catch the shape of your face a little better, not quite so harsh so that it blends more with the shaded parts of your skin, things like that. But in general, it's a lovely picture.

A few of your pictures are overexposed to where they damage the look of your better features. Unfortunately, they look like they would also be some of the best pictures of you otherwise.

In particular, you tend to keep a very tense facial expression. Of course, this isn't something that's specific to you - I've realized that it happens a lot in pictures I'm taking, so I'm trying to learn how to coach people out of it and how to bring out emotion in them. The overexposed pictures seem to pretty much fall on the ones where you were being more expressive and the bright highlight is really messing up the definition of what you're putting out there.

Your poses in general seem good, but I think it would benefit you quite a bit to bring more emotion through. Also, try to keep the photographer from using quite so harsh of lighting. Get them to check it more as they're going to get that shading to blend more smoothly and keep some more definition on your face.

Thanks for the comments.. Gives me a lot to consider. I also have a few other pictures on my facebook if anyone would be kind enough to suggest photo replacements.. Many are repeats, some aren't. Either way it would do me a favor as I always struggle to choose..

And a shoot or two with more experienced photographers wouldn't hurt. You're pretty enough, but the image quality is not quite there IMO.

lol That last one is from a shoot with a photographer with apparently 30 years experience.. Hard to find stellar photographers in Ottawa willing to do TFP... Regardless, I'll keep looking. Thank you for the suggestion.

I too have little room to talk, but this is one shot I'd take out of your port.
I came across a comment the other day saying that the model is responsible for the shots in their port, even if the photographer messed the shot up.

Avoid nudes or reveling until you get more comfortable with your posing.  Those pics will get a lot of views and comments, but maybe not for the right reason.

I would keep the ones by aalfie and ditch the rest.
