Con Crud: Cold, flu, sore throat, or miscellaneous respiratory illness that one comes down with after a convention due to large numbers of people gathered from all over, stress of travel, strange food, dryness in the air due to weird AC settings, lack of sleep, etc.

Some people always come down with something when they travel and/or attend conventions. Others only sometimes. And some lucky people never do. I usually don't but this time I felt something threatening to come on as I headed back home. However (knock wood) I managed to fend it off.

As I said at the beginning of this thread, it's too soon to be thinking about the next Fetishcon.

I admit, I already am, but... it's too soon!

The organizers refuse to say. Which is not cool. At a minimum they need to either confirm that the date given in the back of of the 2014 program book (Aug 20-23, 2015) is still a reliable one - or they should announce that the Aug 20-23 date should be considered tentative and subject to change. One or the other. Trying to make information disappear down an Orwellian Memory Hole is not cool.

Many people are asking about the 2015 trade show and at this time we can not comment on any developments for the 2015 trade show. There are several changes we are making and once we have them in place we will announce the information on the official website.
We will not reply to any questions at this time and hope everyone understands that we must get everything in place before any official announcements can be made.
Thank you -

Boilerplate. This is what I meant when I said "the organizers refuse to say."

Yes, it's boilerplate.

Boilerplate exists for a reason.  It's ostensibly to separate the people who can help the convention owners in this situation from the people who will just get in the way with their ham-handed bumbling and fumbling.  I've seen all your posts before Sablesword, and you're too negative for you to bring anything useful to the situation, I'm sure.

Boilerplate will be removed when there's something useful to add.  Until then, try to keep in mind that it's November so it's not like there's a countdown or anything.

Thank you for your explanation.
