Refused work for looking too young!
Yes, I know it's Yahoo, so you can't really take this stuff seriously, but does she look too young? http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/underwear … 43907.html You decide! Sep 07 13 07:40 am Link Utter nonsense! I wouldn't put her a day under 35.... Just my $0.02 Ciao Stefano www.stefanobrunesci.com Sep 07 13 07:47 am Link She has a better bod than some 20 year olds! Sep 07 13 07:48 am Link From the article: "So she relaunched her career as a freelance model..." Tells me she is good at marketing, and that the interwebs are always in need of a story. As a side note, the pics in the article show me a model who looks pretty stiff and lifeless, so maybe she isn't getting the gigs for reasons other than her age.... IMHO Sep 07 13 07:49 am Link She must look totally different in real life, because to me she looked at least 25 years old in that top photo! Sep 07 13 07:53 am Link W . . . . T . . . F . . . . Sep 07 13 07:58 am Link It is a fantasy on her part. Sep 07 13 08:13 am Link That Italian Guy wrote: 35? She doesn't look a day under 50 to me!!! She might not be getting jobs because of her age, but it's not because she looks to young. Sep 07 13 08:45 am Link Utter bullshit. Why is this classed as news? Sep 07 13 09:03 am Link So, she had a decent career as a model and is now too old. Now she's complaining? MeMeMe. Well, I suggest she get an MM account and work for GWCs like me for $35.00 an hour. If she still wants to model, that may be her best bet. And, the too young thing? Yeah, MMM HHMMM. I've got a bridge to sell the believers of that crap. Sep 07 13 09:04 am Link Murphy Photography wrote: +1000 . Sep 07 13 09:06 am Link I think the agencies were being polite. She looks spot on 49 (if not a few years older). I know of plenty of models in late forties/fifties who are very youthful looking (and really do look 15 years younger). They don't seem to be short of work. Sep 07 13 09:11 am Link Looks too young? She's completely delusional. I'd have guessed she's in her fifties. Sep 07 13 09:18 am Link Forgetting age... if that's the quality of work her photographers and her are producing!!!! Sep 07 13 09:18 am Link It's sad. The agencies are just trying to be civilized about the situation, and let her go gently, but she's not getting the clue. A friend should take her aside, and tell her the truth. Sep 07 13 09:22 am Link Not everyone ages like Gloria Swanson. When my face starts melting, I doubt I'd give two shits about modeling. Sep 07 13 09:25 am Link Female beauty is a very delicate and transitory thing-- like the career of athletes-- it's a young man-- and young women's game. If Kate Moss wasn't a cultural icon, SHE probably wouldn't be working. (There--I said it ( And I worshiped the beauty of kate Moss.) Sep 07 13 09:31 am Link The agencies are looking for the next big thing barely out of diapers why do you think female models have such short life spans. Sep 07 13 09:40 am Link And then there's beauty that transcends all concepts of age. Sep 07 13 09:52 am Link Sorry, but just because she can fit into a size 2 dress at fifty doesn't make her any younger. I agree the hiring agency was being nice. Some Brooks' Institute togger friend had me pose once as a model in some doctor's office ad thing with some other models. Doctor commented to him on, "Who's that old guy? I'm not into geriatrics. Get him out of the photo." At least my togger friend said, "Hey. The doc said you look like hammered crap and get your ugly ass outta my photo." Nice that guy's can talk that way to each other without much hard feelings. So much for my modeling career even if I was 6' something. Astronaut application didn't work out so well either. Submarine duty? "Too tall. Go away kid." Sep 07 13 10:11 am Link Sep 07 13 10:27 am Link Sep 07 13 10:34 am Link London Fog wrote: Seriously? That lady doesnt look young at all. Sorry.
