Yes, I know it's Yahoo, so you can't really take this stuff seriously, but does she look too young?

From the article: "So she relaunched her career as a freelance model..."

Tells me she is good at marketing, and that the interwebs are always in need of a story.

As a side note, the pics in the article show me a model who looks pretty stiff and lifeless, so maybe she isn't getting the gigs for reasons other than her age....

IMHO

She must look totally different in real life, because to me she looked at least 25 years old in that top photo!

Not knowing her real age I would have guessed her to be in her early 50s. She might not be getting jobs because of her age, but it's not because she looks to young. smile

So, she had a decent career as a model and is now too old.  Now she's complaining?
MeMeMe.

Well, I suggest she get an MM account and work for GWCs like me for $35.00 an hour.

If she still wants to model, that may be her best bet.

And, the too young thing?  Yeah, MMM HHMMM.  I've got a bridge to sell the believers of that crap.

I think the agencies were being polite.  She looks spot on 49 (if not a few years older).
I know of plenty of models in late forties/fifties who are very youthful looking (and really do look 15 years younger).  They don't seem to be short of work.

Looks too young? She's completely delusional.

It's sad. The agencies are  just trying to be civilized about the situation, and let her go gently, but she's not getting the clue.

A friend should take her aside, and tell her the truth.

Most actors over 50 have the mad cash to get any facial rejuvenation/surgery/etc. they desire to stop the clock.

Here I see a woman that really needs to get something done with her neck area and her jowl lines.

Her nose is kind of um, not statuesque looking anymore.

If she didn't want to be in the industry or play a role that didn't require a stop in time, then screw the world.

Female beauty is a very delicate and transitory thing-- like the career of athletes-- it's a young man-- and young women's game.

If Kate Moss wasn't a cultural icon, SHE  probably wouldn't be working. (There--I said it hmm ( And I worshiped the beauty of kate Moss.)

And then there's beauty that transcends all concepts of age.

Sorry, but just because she can fit into a size 2 dress at fifty doesn't make her any younger.  I agree the hiring agency was being nice.

Some Brooks' Institute togger friend had me pose once as a model in some doctor's office ad thing with some other models.  Doctor commented to him on, "Who's that old guy?  I'm not into geriatrics.  Get him out of the photo."

At least my togger friend said, "Hey. The doc said you look like hammered crap and get your ugly ass outta my photo."  Nice that guy's can talk that way to each other without much hard feelings. wink

So much for my modeling career even if I was 6' something.  Astronaut application didn't work out so well either.  Submarine duty?  "Too tall. Go away kid."

Seriously? That lady doesnt look young at all. Sorry. Not being bitchy. But yeah no. Going by the title of this thread I was thinking a 20-something year old female was looking more like a 15 year old female.

lol Sooooooooooooooooo not the case lol

She actually looks to be in her early 40's with a few stabs of Botox.

This is her account that's being given.  She had good work for 20 years, but now as she's older it's drying up because she looks too young?   That' just doesn't make sense.

She even eludes to the fact, she wants to model as if she's much younger than she is.  It seems to me she had a longer run than most (as a "young" model),  but eventually her aging caught up with her, but she doesn't want to admit it - that's my take.

She looks like an attractive 50 something, with a great bode.

Great marketing.

The photo is a little too soft focused to be able to see the detail in her face.

Saying she's "too old", would get them sued, but saying she's "too young" won't.  I think it's just a nice way to say, "It's time for you to retire from underwear modeling".
