A bunch of guys that like to hit on models at shoots needed a generic name for the guys that came to their shoots with models to keep them from doing that... and they came up with sluggo.

Sluggo was a tough boy in the old Nancy cartoons and comics.

He was sort of like Nelson in 'The Simpsons'.

He's the kid wearing the red cap in this cartoon.
