Sounds like every other wannabe musician marketed by the television's talentless shows.
She clearly lacks talent. Sell sex, sex sells.

Right on, and yours is fine art too, very trendy.

I think the lead vocal was partially double tracked, which is a technique that goes back about as far as the dinosaur you ride to work every day.

The question is, where does she go from here?
She is already butt nekid, albeit covering the naughty bits.

In order to top this, she will have to go straight into real porn to keep people talking about her. Deity knows, no one is going to pay attention to her for her singing talent.

I think some people are misinterpreting her target audience?

I liked the editing.
I like the video in general.
Sex sells.

I do dislike Autotune however it's not terribly overdone in this. The songs nature lends itself to it imho.

Hell I wish I could have been there to shoot some stills! It looks like it would have been a great set for that.

Yeah her body is pretty hot but as long as she doesn't speak [you know, with that monotone manly voice] and limit the face shots [that grin and loose tongue will ruin it]... then we're good to go tongue

I thought it was a good collaboration. Fairly simple concept well executed. I see the ring lights in eyes so much anymore, that was a nice diffuse.

I'm neither a fan nor hater of either.  I do like the lighting in the video.  I didn't hear that much autotune on her voice either.  The song doesn't grab me that much but it's OK.  I just think that she's trying to break away from the Hannah Montana persona with a vengeance.

Now that is the Robert Randall / Kevlar Vest Girl we all knew and loved.  Unsolicited critiques of grand proportion. The moderators didn't even notice. Well done and welcome back. Amateurs (like me) beware. smile

Agreed, and somewhere there is one hell of a wrecking ball operator, who has one hell of a story to tell at the local watering hole.

Edit, Her facial expressions are very well done, and so are the riding the wrecking ball shots choreography.

Methinks the haters could never get a model to ride a wrecking ball nude.

Like it or not, there's a lot of talent in those clips.

I HATE Terry Richardson with a passion. I heard he doesn't treat his models with respect, and he LOVES seeing them naked. After watching the video, I get why Miley chose hm to direct it... she's trying to blow her Hannah Montana image to smithereens, so teaming up to do a naked music video with the most lecherous fashion photographer of the modern age makes sense. I wonder if he was naked as well, as he's so infamous for doing when shooting nude supermodels.

Well, I think that the ability to go through all of those gyrations while keeping her nipples hidden shows some talent.

With a typical shot length of under a second, it's not that difficult. smile

Interesting concept, but for this pre-video game,  pre-MMO old fogie, the clips were too short, and the cuts were too jarring. About the time I could focus on the new scene, it was changing to the next one.

Music seemed OK. Story was kind of stupid, but so were the lyrics, and they shared a couple of words.

Yup. Didn't notice, even after carefully rereading. Might that be because it's not there? (Read what is inthe post, not inferences.)

At least when Gaga got naked in her recent video she actually flashed the goods! In fact more than just flashed.

Terry saw big $ signs coming from her and the record company and said "eh what the hell, as long as the put my credit in huge font size at the end", it's a win for both publicity and money wise I guess.

Still no excuse for adding to the train wreck of Miley tongue

The trend these days is beat up on Miley and Richardson.

Remove his name from the credits and put a black spot over her face and probably half the "haters" would be talking about a wonderful concept to a catchy tune.

I'm always mystified when people complain about successful people, and it's always the same complaint, which boils down to "I could have done it better". It never seems to occur to these people that if they could do it better, or for that matter, even try to do it, they might actually succeed at something.

Terry obviously has his finger on the pulse of today's trends, and Miley is doing an incredible number on her brand, which isn't aimed at 40 year old fine art farts. The more the old farts complain about her, the more the kids want her. How in the hell did the old farts forget that tidbit?

You guys really rock!
