Good morning,

I am looking for some feedback on this image that is a work in progress. I place great value on learning the fundamentals such as color, anatomy, technique, composition, etc. It is quite overwhelming to understand these things, yet still be able to just forget them for a moment and know what looks good.

This is a self portrait that I cropped specifically to practice color adjustments and D&B. I am naturally pretty pale in color and was lit by a speedlight in umbrella left... and by a naked speedlight I accidentally left on the floor right!  It made a pretty surreal effect and interesting shadows.

1. Initial reaction to the facial work thus far?
2. Color adjustments?
3. Did I flatten the forehead too much?

I appreciate your honest and open feedback.  I'm from NJ, I can handle it!!!  ---if the pics aren't up its because I am a forum noob so bare with me please---

My friend does a lot of retouching and he is great at it. He posts instructional videos online. I think you would benefit from watching a few.

Too blue and there's that hard shadow across his left cheek.
