WHAT: The Detroit Erotic Arts Collaborative (DEAC) is a unique closed event dedicated solely to the creation of fine art erotic photography. This includes, but is not limited to, artistic nudes, fetish, lingerie, fashion and pinup. The format is of the pre-scheduled trade variety in typically one hour intervals predetermined by the models and photographers prior to the event.

WHO: Photographers and models 18+, from amateur to professional,are welcome, but only those screened for professional integrity will be allowed. This is not to be elitist, but due to the erotic nature of the DEAC, it is to ensure security within a professional and productive event. Makeup artists, hair stylists and fashion designers are also welcome.

WHEN: There will be two days available for shooting...Saturday February 08 from noon to 8pm and Sunday February 09 from noon to 6pm.  You can shoot as little or as much as you desire on either or both days.  Check-in begins at 11am on both days until 5pm.

WHERE: The location will be in the Leland Hotel in downtown Detroit, MI.  There are numerous rooms, levels, stairs and areas (mostly dilapidated) to shoot in privacy and will be closed to the general public.  The shooting areas also include the City Club nightclub and the spacious marbled grand ballroom.  Photographs and layouts of these areas can be viewed in the Venue Layout section.

SECURITY: Floor monitors will be patrolling the various areas of the event venue to ensure the overall security and peace while keeping the public away from your creativity.  They will also be strict in upholding the DEAC Rules for your safety and the greater good of all participants so please be courteous and listen to what they may say.  If you have any questions or concerns whatsoever, always bring it to their attention so they may help.

FEES: The prepay fees for models and MUAs are $20 Sat/$10 Sun/$25 Both.  For photographers, the prepay fees are $45 Sat/$35 Sun/$65 Both.  Returning DEAC photographers in good standing receive a special "thank you" discount rate of $30 Sat/$20 Sun/$40 Both, if prepaid.   One working assistant is allowed to accompany and assist you for $5 prepaid each day.  Any fees not prepaid will be an additional $5 for each day at the door.  For photographers, the prepay fees are $50 Sat/$40 Sun/$70 Both.  Returning DEAC photographers in good standing receive a special "thank you" discount rate of $35 Sat/$25 Sun/$45 Both, if prepaid.   One working assistant is allowed to accompany and assist you for $5 prepaid each day.  Any fees not prepaid will be an additional $5 for each day at the door.  To prepay, you must sign up first.  (Note: The prepay period ends at 12 noon EST on the Wednesday before the event)

ACCOMMODATIONS: Unfortunately there are no more rooms available at the Leland as they have switched over to apartment living.  We suggest using an online discount hotel website like Priceline, Expedia, etc.

WORKSHOPS: There will be no workshops available at this DEAC.

AREA RSVP: Photographers who pre-register can reserve certain areas (indicated in green on the Venue Layout) prior to their shoot.  A maximum of two RSVPs per area per photographer is allowed in non-consecutive one hour blocks. Please view the Area Reservation Sheet for spaces available and instructions on how to reserve them.  (Note: The reservation period ends at 11am EST on the Thursday before the event)

NOTE 1: If you have been a "no-show" (someone who does not show up the day of the shoot without prior notice) at any previous DEAC events, you are not welcome to participate.  This strict ruling is to ensure the integrity of DEAC and to protect our valued participants.

NOTE 2: No tentatives.  If you are unsure if you can attend, please post in this thread only when you know you can.

NOTE 3: By the DEAC rules, no one is allowed to schedule with anyone not on the Official Participation List.This is for your everyone's protection as we screen every member for professional integrity.  If you are not on the list, please fill out the form below.

NOTE 4: Remember, you are responsible for setting up your own schedules.  After signing up for an event, you can either contact members on the participation list to see if they have any openings or post in the DEAC Forums your available openings for others to contact you.  New members are added daily so check back to the list often to see who is now available.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

SCHEDULING: Assuming you have already registered and signed up for the event, you may now start reviewing and contacting members on the participation list that you are interested in working with.  Review their portfolios and contact simply by asking if they have any openings at DEAC.  If a person you wish to work with is not on this list, feel free to ask if they plan to attend.  Once you start coordinating shoots, you may keep track of your schedules in your profile schedule to keep them handy and for others to reference in contacting you.  New members are added daily so check back to the list often to see who is now available.  You can also periodically (that means every couple days, not hourly) post your open dates in the forums. 

Remember, you are responsible for setting up your own schedules!

SHOOTING AREA RESERVATIONS: Photographers who prepay can reserve certain areas (indicated in green on the Venue Layout) prior to their shoot.  A maximum of two RSVPs in non-consecutive one hour blocks is allowed per area per photographer.  View the Area Reservation Sheet for spaces available and instructions on how to reserve them.  For those who wish to camp (stay in one location for more than one hour to shoot), please note the designated camping areas for reservation.  (Note: The reservation period ends at 12 noon EST on the Thursday before the event)

FINAL WEEK PREPARATIONS: One week prior to the DEAC, all participants will be emailed a link to the official DEAC Information Packet which will include further instructions, forms, maps and other items to help make your experience as productive and enjoyable as possible.

CANCELLATIONS: If you are on the participation list and cannot make one or all days for any reason, you must officially cancel those days otherwise the system may ban you as a no-show.  If you only need to cancel one of the days, click "preferences" on the event page to change your preferences.  If you need to cancel altogether, click "resign event" on the same event page.  These action will change your listing on the participation list.  Simply not showing up without warning will result in being banned from all future DEAC events!  After this, please be courteous and contact anyone you have scheduled so they may have a chance to fill their empty slots.  (Please note that pre-paid refunds are given only upon request and only up to 3 days before the event.)

OPEN TIME SLOTS: In the case you have not filled your schedule or receive a cancellation notice, there will be an board where photographers and models can list their open time slots to find one another and continue creating art.
