We welcome Mike Kirwan to the LIGHTHOUSE for the first installment of a fine art nude series aimed at exploring the techniques in creating fine art images of the female form.

Mike will go into detail of his philosphy for creating fine art nudes. Through this workshop you will discover how to take an image beyond a simple snapshot of the female form, and create a dynamic photograph conveying the message you want to convey to your audience. Every photographer will have a unique vision of the world around them, including their vision of the female form.

This is an opportunity to spend a day in the studio photographing as a private learning experience with two wonderful models. Mike Kirwan will be leading the workshop, providing hands-on guidance as well as demonstrations using the natural light of the studio which includes a lovely outdoor area. Attendees will be able to work both indepenently as well as in groups challenging themselves to create the images they have envisaged in their minds eye.

We have scheduled two excellent and experienced models for this workshop. This will focus on natural and available light so please bring tripods! Film and digital cameras welcome.

we do have cameras available for rent: 25$ fee Hasselblad 500- 2 available, Mamiya C330, Mamiya RB67, Pentax 67- please bring your own film


Our talent for this workshop includes Eleanor Rose. She is a professional model based in Santa Rosa and has joined us at the lighthouse several times now and is always a treat! She excels in the fine art realm and will be a welcomed edition to this course.

Our second model for this workshop is Gwendolyn Nymph. We've been waiting for Gwendolyn to join us and this will be here first of many appearances at the Lighthouse. Gwen is a chameleon in front of the camera and an outstanding poser, a welcomed addition to this course.
