I was hesitant to reply because I got reamed really badly for sharing before. I accidentally left out a few facts, focused on extraneous details and people were merciless.

I have had nothing but positive experiences before and since.

I had a photographer try to pay me for sex. He was extremely pushy about it and borderline sexually assaulted me. I reported it to the cops but they didn't take me seriously or care.

I almost quit modeling. I actually really enjoy nude modeling and it is hurtful to be reminded that some people assume nude models are sex workers. I have never been treated as a prostitute since. I really should have screened the photographer better. Asking the right questions is very important and I was naive. Lesson learned. I have refused numerous clients since on gut instinct. Don't be desperate and only work with people who make you feel comfortable.

The dirty secret of nude photography is that it's exactly like regular photography except that the model is not wearing clothing.

I think people want to believe that the models who do it are somehow morally less than clothed models, or the photographers who shoot it are somehow more perverted than others.

I'm sorry, but your blog is probably going to be pretty boring.

+1.

The only difference I see between working with nude models and non nude models is that the supply of nude models is less and the desired rates tend to be more.    The overall headaches, planning, logistics, and characteristics of a shoot itself however don't magically change based on the amount of clothing the model is or is not wearing.

Dirty Secret:  Tell the model to avoid wearing clothing that leaves marks on her/his skin as they will show if the model is nude.

I know its like everyone is trying to make the word Photographer dirty and bad.
I asked a girl on date she said yes. I was going to pick her up and take her out.
Was thinking of what to do and because I had low funds thought hey I ll ask if she wants to play model and we can go around shooting some photos of her around town or at my studio. She said ok but I have to bring a friend.
Im like wait you'll go out with me on a date alone or come over a watch a movie but you going out to take some pictures of you, you have to bring a friend!?! She said uh ya I guess..can we just hung out on our date?"
Got me to thinking that there is a bit of built up mistrust in Photographers there but not the Photographer just the idea of one hmm
Had several girls I dated not wanting to photos but would come over for drinks. And most of them where better looking then my models I shoot so it wasn't that they felt ugly. Go wrap your head around that one! I stopped telling girls Im a photographer unless they ask what I do for a living.

I have said no to being photographed for a date. It has nothing to do with insecurity. I don't want to be "on" for a date. I want to relax and get to know the other person. I want to let my guard down and have fun. Do you want to work on your date? Fine, most women don't. A first date is pressure so why add to it?

I think a photographer who specializes in nudity should have a very bland blog. If you treat the people you shoot with respect then there should be no sensationalized experiences.

As the saying goes, if you're looking for trouble you'll find it.

I've never had drama because it's about the process and collaborating. Any real artistic pursuit is a combined effort. When you get in trouble is when your photography is more about ogling or trying to hook up with women.

Damn.  I wish you'd warned us sooner. It would have spared us from so much grief...

The biggest issue is telling the model what not to wear.
