Yes, he certainly is famous for his actor headshots and his seminars. His personality is engaging and I've watched several of his seminars.

I pick and choose from them what I find useful for me. :0) Something else that might help is to notice where your lightsource is, (not likely to be set up like Peter Hurley's. Face towards the light generally. Simple I know but, I've ruined shots for it!
