I finally got around to setting up a separate portfolio website for my retouch work. Let me know what you think about the layout, text, pages, and especially the Before & After page. I'd really like thoughts on this page per the header, gallery and text. Here's the link: http://retouch.jenniferhaggerty.com/ Thank you! Jul 07 14 01:47 pm Link Make the before&afters bigger, or clickable to a bigger size. Also, the images that ARE bigger on that page (the ones that scroll) look like they were resized from too small and lost some quality. On a positive note, the arm hair one is super impressive. Jul 07 14 01:50 pm Link Will re-size ALL the things. Thank you for your feedback! Edit: Edited the viewing gallery. Will re-size the header images over the week. No before and after, just finished images? I am also not 100% on that banner, do you think it should stay? Jul 07 14 02:06 pm Link Jennifer Haggerty wrote: Yes. Make a separate page for "gallery" and just show finished images. Pick out no more than 10 of your best. I don't think the banner is really necessary as it's just showing the same images. Thank you for taking the time to review the site and offer your criticism! Jul 07 14 02:12 pm Link Hmm looks like Wordpress which isnt a bad thing, however make sure if its is wordpress or joomla that you always update your software to ensure it doesnt get hacke3d. A gallery option would be nice, also if it is Wordpress look for the page builder plugin which comes in handy. Been doing Joomla, Wordpress and designing for 15 years, so not bad at all Jul 07 14 02:20 pm Link Good suggestions here, but overall, great job so far -- shows off your skills and taste very nicely. Jul 07 14 02:26 pm Link It's looking good Jen. Need more photos in the gallery, it's too short. Since you're my pal, if you need more images let me know. Jul 07 14 02:34 pm Link Your website does not work in Safari version 5.1.7 on a PC running Windows 8.1. The Navigation does not appear. Jul 07 14 02:42 pm Link GeorgeMercado wrote: Wordpress, ftw! Jul 08 14 05:29 am Link I tried three times to view your site & each attempt resulted in an HTTP 500 error (server problem). Jul 08 14 05:39 am Link Darryl Varner wrote: That happened to me as well. I had just installed a plugin that put the server down for a minute while setting up. Try it again, it should be fully functional now. Jul 08 14 05:44 am Link |
