Hi

Can someone recommend a good paper for photo printing
that is matte, luster or like Epson Exhibition Fiber.

I want to print on one side and write a note on the other.

I want the back to be clear with no watermarked logo.

Harman do some wonderful Baryta papers as do Permajet and Fotospeed.

I use Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308GSM.

Not the easiest to handle, but a lovely paper.

I don't believe any of the Canson or Hahnemühle papers have a watermark on the back.  Haven't seen them on the Inkpress or Red River papers either.

Luster is sort of a odd word as some call it Satin or Pearl too.  Inkpress has a 300 gsm they call "Heavy Luster" with a brightness of 94% and nothing sown on the back plus they custom cut if you want sheets over a roll.  I think Red River is also doing special cuts, but seems their papers almost have the same look (i.e. Inkpress Satin Metallic is very different from the Red River Metallic Pearl which to me is more a glossy.).  They also sell some "Duo" papers where you can print on both sides.

Epson, Canon, and Kodak seem to be bad about plastering watermarks on the backs.

I spent a month printing my pulp shots (more illustrative) along with some B&W film scans (not illustrative) on various papers by various manufacturers.  I was blown away by the Canson line of papers and now only print on them.  I would get a sample pack so that you can see all of the different papers they have.  I haven't been this pleased with paper choices since before digital.

I think you'll be very happy with them.

Are Barytas OK? Canson's is great if you're fond of low-on-the-stipple.

Can we see the image being printed ? Some are better than others depending on the subject matter.
I think for rich color images, or pure blacks: Hanhemule Bamboo fine art paper.

It's seems random on Canon, I know I have some that don't but most do; rather odd
