I don't like to throw away my used dental floss.  I rinse it and hang it on my toothbrush.  I had many room mates did that too when we were in Undergrad.  But for the last 33 years, my wife keeps throwing my slightly used dental floss in the trash.  She says it is gross.

What is wrong with this woman?  Does she know recycling is in NOW?  big_smile

I just throw it away. They give you like 1 million at each visit.

A) Even microscopic food particles are like a restaurant to bacteria.
B) Some bacteria are unhealthy for people.
C) Rinsing isn't sanitizing.
D) I'm with wifey on this one.

I am pretty sure the rinsed dental floss is cleaner than my mouth.

Touche.

Hmm, I should tell you on this, my second try, you'll need to aim for empathy to totally get it. How would you feel if your wife rinsed most of the food off the dishes, let them dry and put them away? The word you'd need to empathize with to get it is "feel".

Rinse water may be cheap, but it may cost more and use more resources than 8 inches of dental floss.

Are you that damn cheap that you reuse dental floss?

If you are only making $500 an hour, every 1/10 of a penny helps!

If you were truly that frugal, you'd be using fishing line instead of floss.

But you are not jamming the rest of your mouth deep into the recesses of your gums.

BTW, I don't need to recycle - I went to Montana a long time ago and became a dental floss tycoon. Frank was such a visionary.

If I weren't a dental floss tycoon, I would use weed eater string - much more durable!

Well, sure, but you'd have to be missing a lot of teeth to fit that weed eater string in between.

You guys are missing the point and humor.  smile

It is a peeve of mine.  I floss often, it is easier to recycle the floss and put it next to my tooth brush, than throwing it away.  Nine out of 10 times I miss the waste basket and the floss ends up on the floor.  Every time when I need a new one, I need to find it and pull it out to the proper length.  It is way too much work.   tongue

What else can we discuss on here, you can't talk politics, religions, guns, or colors.  big_smile

Who cares if you miss the wastebasket... isn't it your wife's job to pick it up?

Yes, it is.  It is on our contract. And she is not allowed to visit MM forum either.  big_smile

To pick at some nit, this is reusing, not recycling.
