Can you glance over my portfolio, and provide your best critique for me?
Once you do, a chocolate bar will magically appear in your lap.

You have quite a variety of image types in your portfolio. Rather than comment on each, I'll point out a couple I really like and a couple you could remove to make room for others as you shoot more.

The most stunning image in your portfolio is this (18+): https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35641938 . It has drama and a bit of mystery; it is beautifully lit and composed; and you look gorgeous. If it were my photo I would retouch out the stray hair crossing your eye and extending past the plane of your face. But even as it is, it's marvelous.

I also like this: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/33676489 . Not quite as strong as the previous one, but still shows your beauty on a wonderful way.

This one is annoying and I would remove it: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32096539 . First, the flare from the backlighting is bothersome. Second, the photographer appears to have shot with a wide angle lense from a high angle making your legs look funny, and he cut off the feet. That's a no-no.

This one might make sense in the photographer's portfolio but not so much in yours: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/29813541 . The artsy polaroid look is a bit passe. And part of your head is cut off. Another no-no except in very close up portraits.

Finally, this one doesn't do much for your port: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/29810208 . You've got legs, pretty nice ones, but there are better ways to get the point across than showing you cut off at the waist.

Welcome to Houston. I think you have a lot of potential.

This for me is your strongest image, but there are some things that can be done differently next time
Notice the models pose how square it is to the camera [The fix put hips on angle to camera for added dynamics]
Missing models finger tips on right hand
Models left arm pose is blocking shape of midsection, move it off to side so you can show off your hour glass figure
Watch your backgrounds; your white outfit is blending into the wall so your shape is lost
Fix straps at shoulders to get rid of the wrinkles

This would be your second best image for me
Both of your arms are too straight, think long sexy fingers

Wish you well

Blurry, not a fan of cropping.

You have some pretty compelling stuff in there.

Huge fan of this,

Finally, I noticed you do not shoot for "free".  I would suggest considering trading someone's time if they can offer you better images than what you currently have in your port.

Free candy is better than the rate I've been getting here so I'm in:

Beware of having "potential", it is generally death to models.

Your book, as presented here, is that of a beginner. I'd keep shots  1 2 3 and 5 and not the others.  There are a lot of reasons for this, but in short, none of them do anything for you at all.

On the good news front,  you have a solid look, that means potential. It is up to you to score more quality photos so you can actualize your potential into an actual working brand. At this point you need to seek out great shooters who can really work you and make your look happen.

I might say more but want the candy first.

My vote for your strongest image is the forest scene. If I had been the photog for that shoot I'd have suggested shooting some nudes in that magnificent setting. Zooming in a lot more on you. (I'd kill to be able to shoot in that location, where is it?) & headshots too, such a vibrant background!

I'd ditch the whole bottom row, they don't show case you. (let the photographer put them on his port.)

Three things I look for in a model's port; attractive features- got that by the truckload! Posing skill, not seeing it in your port at present, & expressions, I'm not seeing much more than one. (A good one mind you= serious, quiet hint of mystery) Love to see you laughing, showing attitude, silly, stern, sensual, relaxed.

BTW, since turn-about is fair play, feel free to take a peek at my port, love to hear your thoughts if you are willing.

As far as wanting to be paid, do some more TF with better photographers. You need some better images to be able to charge. Also, it's good to have some sort of consistency to your portfolio so think about what you really want to do. Is it swimwear, fitness, fashion, lifestyle, commercial or nude? You can obviously do multiple genres but you need  consistency and try to have the multiple genres almost sort of collide; like fashion and beauty, commercial and lifestyle, or lingerie and nude. Once you do some different type of shoots you can find what it is you really love to do then build with that.
When shooting, I've discovered you want almost a "relaxed tension" because you want your body and muscles to be relaxed but at the same time you want this short of energy and tension in the face and body to get an intimacy with the camera. You don't want to be so tense you close up but you don't want to be so relaxed you look bored or there's no emotion.
Personally, I think this is a pretty good shot

The expression is nice and it almost tells a story. It's got a nice location and darker setting, the eyes are looking off ever so slightly to build even more mystery. The only thing is, I'm not sure how I feel about the veil. It's a little awkward looking to me, but I'm sure some might disagree with that.

For this, it's pretty good but not quite breath taking like it could have been. Just the slightest things would have make the difference. Remember to have pretty hands, you're sort of gripping onto the branch and you want more elegance, when modeling it's important to not forget the hands. (I've made this mistake before too, don't worry. I think I still have an image in my portfolio where I'm doing that) and it's also like the background is overpowering you. When I see it I think more of, "Wow, what a great location!" as opposed to "wow look at that model!" With such a gorgeous location you want to be able to stand out. Maybe more emotion or power would have helped. Also, remember to always lengthen and elongate yourself. Even though you're 5'8, you still need to lengthen yourself because you come off a little short here. Maybe a better posture would make the difference. I would also angle my head more towards the camera or look at it. Generally, it's best to either have your face turned and eyes on the camera or face straight and eyes into the distance. A lot of times, when you do both it comes off as a little distracted. But overall, it is a nice image. You look very beautiful here.
Also, in the image where you are topless, your face is STUNNING. It's simple, yet beautiful. I love the hair over the face and the body turned and the head and eyes towards the camera and it's got the "relaxed tension". Great work. I think as a head shot, it's just gorgeous.
Hope this helped a little. Best of luck to you! xoxo

You have a great look and loads of potential. So let's get out there and realize it.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140708/13/53bc5874e6cc9_m.jpg
The pose is somewhat awkward. You do need some separation with the left arm and the background is busy with the pipes and not enough contrast between the white in your suit and the white wall.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140511/23/53707075d1f4e_m.jpg
Toss this one. Your arm and ear are in focus, so your face should be too. Unfortunately it is not. Global Gaussian blur is not the way to make a model look better. And they probably did it right on the background layer too!

18+
This showcases your great form, and you have and interesting expression, however the hair is covering it.

I like it, but the hair is somewhat distracting.

A playful expression would make this better.

18+
I like the shadow lines, but not really the crop. Its OK.

Playful expression would be better. Study some Gil Elvgren paintings. This would be great as a pin up. So work it.

Similar problems to the first photo.

Shadow lines make this interesting. This looks like a office/classroom, so the serious expression fits the context.

Somewhat artistic, I suppose. It doesn't sell you though. Your portfolio is to sell you. The next 2 images the same.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120831/17/50415bd6692e0_m.jpg
This one is interesting.

Nothing makes me say I want to pay to shoot with you. Your portfolio says you have potential, but a mediocre image of a pretty girl isn't going to do anything for my portfolio. So I would say Yes! to a trade, but ...
