I was able to work with a new model the other day, brought out the photos that I really liked, I would love to hear what the fine folks on MM have to say as far as how they look/ what I could do to improve.

Short models - shoot them from the waist up if you can or lower. The angle you used makes her look really short.  The second photo - that doesn't really work.

Good luck!

Place more space in front of the model then behind, will give them room to move into
An out of focus background is much less distracting

Would much rather see the model then the tree

NOW you have to learn how to CREATE a photograph.
As you might have noticed, you've taken some pictures and they aren't the same caliber as you had hoped they'd be?
You are going to have to Get rid of the idea, that you'll simply aim a camera and WHAM you'll snap epic photos all day long. Instead realize, you're going to have to work at creating photographs you'll be proud of.

BEST place to start is, Composition,

THEN, you have to learn how to use "LIGHT".

THEN use this knowledge and CREATE some photographs. Keep us in the loop bro. smile Ask ALL the questions you have. We'll be happy to help. smile
