hi i was contacted by augusto goutt about modelling placements etc but as I'm not exactly a high fashion model I'm a little dubious about whether its a real email or not

he has all the correct websites linked to his email address, and does for the correct things a scout would

does anyone know the email address he normally uses to contact people?

x

There's some doubt as to the legitimacy of anyone contacting from a throw-away email address with throw away web sites.  So long as s/he is not asking for personal information (address, social security number, bank account numbers, that kind of thing) there's no harm in communicating with them.  Keep on your toes, and feel it out, I'm sure you're intelligent enough to figure out if the person is truly legit.

In short, I wouldn't trust them with more information than they need to do what they're saying... which in your case is a head shot and your telephone number and email address.

ummmm, their website doesn't display ANY of their own contact information (address, phone number, email) but in order to contact then you must divulge your own personal contact information.

'nuff said!

Please tell him everyone, industry and non industry alike, would prefer if he got a real email address and a real looking web site because he lends legitimacy to those who are out there scamming people

Look, it's this way. This guy's name is all over the web like a rash - BUT he can not be localised. I've looked. I do this for a living. And I can't tell you what the fuck country he is even operating from. It's likely that I cold eventually track him down but why bother when you start coming across bullshit like this [so much for his claimed New York business presence]

Come on folks. Let's get real here. He has a shit command of the English language, and can't be found on the ground. When it comes to an actual place of business he's the fucking invisible man. He also claims in one breath to be a scout and in another to be an agency [see above]. He can't, as a practical matter, be both.

In still another place I see him describe himself as a "mother agency." That hints at something to me that I will not go into here. But I sure as hell wouldn't want to, or suggest for anyone else to, sign a contract of any kind with him relating to anything to do with representation. Quite the opposite.

There is something so obviously, glaringly, manifestly, wrong here that there is only one answer - - - PASS, PASS, PASS, PASS!

Whenever I hear this stuff I develop a mind's eye picture of someone writing them a check in $£€ and, when there is an unhappy camper, them writing their refund checks denominated in some currency no one has ever heard of and that is not exchangable internationally, with the funds drawn on a bank in Lower Slobovia. LOL

Come on, a few minutes work and it becomes very apparent that this guy is a phantom.

Yes he's a phantom, and if he really is getting people work, as reported by a lot of random people, then his status as a phantom is what the problem is... not him getting work for people

Who are these people giving reports ?
Dure the infamous Cancer/Death hoax
Several reports came in backing the trolls story
Turns out there were more fake accts
Why would any legit biz be untraceable ???
