(The body copy reads): Honey, Iâm home: GWEN B. is eating virtual honey digitally created in Photoshop. Ankle bracelet is specifically designed for this illustration. No Bees were harmed during the making of this illustration.
Thank you so much for the comment, no offense taken, on the contrary, what you wrote is exactly what this piece is all about. And you definitely have an eye for detail.
This image is a part of a self promotional series called "ilLUSTration", and the main idea was to show raw parts of the rendering procedure of the painting. That's why the honey on her left leg was kept as a basic color and texture, to actually give the feeling of paint.
Check out the other 3 pieces of the series, and you will find the same feel to them.
March 26, 2010 7:04am I love this shot but the "honey" on her farmost thigh at the top center looks too flat, like it's not on her skin. It doesn't have that wonderful 3d shine and movement to it that the other honey going down the leg has. It looks more like paint and the shape doesn't curve around and off the thigh it's just straight down. Just me two cents. I only tend to critique shots that I love so please don't take offense. I do think the honey on the other leg is amazingly well done.
