January 23, 2011 6:12pm It's a favorite of mine too. I have a 4' print of it in my office area. But it is just a good example of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principal. Back lit sun and an on camera hot shoe mounted Sb800 flash. Syncro sun achieved through FP Flash mode and a shutter speed of like 1/4000th of a second at F/4ish. The most trick thing tech wise is my 12/24 wasn't wide enough to get the feet and the tip of the cloud..and my SB800 won't cover the entire body that close so I shot 2 images, one with the feet but the cloud cropped and one with the cloud full and no feet and I composited them in Photoshop.
