Wow, Khiria! I love this shot!! Ungrounded... the perspective creates incredible depth and leads our eyes into that bottomless pit. It's well balanced but no so classically literal (the way most of mine are - sadly). By placing you between the large white space of the column and the black panel on the wall, the viewer's eye is drawn to your dark figure at the base of the cross. Plus the variation in geometric shapes from the large white column, the black panel, down to the medium-sized steps all the way to the smaller tiles in the floor... again, incredible well balanced! I also love the way the decorations under the banister dance upward to sort of dance with the tiles and the jagged edges of the stairs. I know I've said too much... but I can't seem to say enough about this pic! One of the best shots I've ever seen... anywhere! I'm in love with it! ~Ned
