Since this seems to have become a problem, DO NOT contact me for a photoshoot (and do not reply to my message if I sent one first) if you do not intend to show up. The amount of models that show tons of interest then fail to show the day of the shoot has gotten out of hand, and with the limited photographers we have in New Mexico, you will surely get blacklisted as word spreads. So save yourself - and me! - the grief.
As a teenager I liked to tell people I wanted to do something creative with my life – be a graphic designer, a tattoo artist, a photographer. Out of all my ideas, I was mostly encouraged to go into web design, as it was the “safe” option. So photography was pushed to the backburner for the time being. But as time passed, and I went in and out of college over a span of years, I discovered that no matter how little I was encouraged, what I really wanted to do was take pictures. It helped that despite all the help I was getting, I was just not driven to do web design, or draw, or do tattoos. Photography was my idea, not anyone else’s. And in this, I was driven.
The first time I picked up a camera of decent enough quality to take the kind of images I wanted to, I could feel it down to my bones. Thrumming happiness. And the moment others saw my images, the tune they were singing was completely different.
My desire to create images people feel, and love, is stronger than any other. I have found my calling, a little later than some, earlier than others, but no one is more pleased than I am for it.
Despite just getting started in model photography, it is something I already love. The idea of molding a person in a way to look absolutely amazing through a camera lens is very appealing.
Ideas I would like to execute:
Creative makeup face shots - the more colorful the better
7 deadly sins
I would also really like to expand my portfolio with more male models - right now I have only a few shots, and they were all spontaneous. I would like to change that.
