About Me

Patricia Vilani is a film director and producer with 10 years’ experience working in the fashion, advertising and entertainment industries. Vilani started her career working as a stylist and producer on numerous fashion photo and film shoots while still a student, before graduating in 2005 with a BA in Fashion Design from Santa Marcelina University (São Paulo, Brazil).

Soon, Patricia began experimenting as a director of short independent films, which quickly led to major public screenings. Her films Glove and Vestida para Matar were presented at São Paulo Fashion Week in 2003 and 2004. Later in 2005, Vilani’s short film Amarelinha, um Jogo entre o Ceu’ o Inferno received its premier at the Festival do Minuto.

Vilani relocated to London in 2008 to work as a Fashion Trend Researcher. In 2010, she enrolled at the London College of Fashion to read for a MA in Fashion Media Production. Vilani came to attention at London Fashion Week S/S 2011 with the screening of her award-winning film Four Seasons of Love, which was sponsored by Liberty.

Since graduating, Vilani has become a regular contributor at Imagine Fashion, which commissioned a series of filmed interviews with big names of the European fashion circuit, including Bill Gaytten, Isabel Marant, Peter Dundas and Nicolas Andreas Taralis. Her films have also featured in the online editorial of Harper’s Baazar, Vogue UK, Valstrom, 160grams, SYN Magazine, Style Arabia and F.Hits Brazil.
