About Me

My name is Ryan DeVore and I'm a photographer. I'm 17 years old and I've been shooting for about one year now. It really hasn't been long that I've actually enjoyed photographing the world around me. I've always had a passion for art, it's just that I never actually had a real camera to learn on. My interest in photography sparked from working at my first job at Circuit City. Being a sales associate in the imaging department, I was surrounded by cameras all of the time. Curiosity set in and that was the end of it. Soon enough I was well on my way to saving up for my first DSLR, and my first real camera for that matter.

Any spare time I had was spent with a camera in my hand, figuring out what each knob and button did. Teaching myself why the colors were so washed out or why the exposure was so dark. I began teaching myself photography jargon, like aperture and depth of field. I followed all the rules and studied other photographers. Anything I didn't know I looked up. I had so much photography knowledge in my brain but I wasn't actually creating anything I wanted.

One day I realized that following the rules would get me nowhere. I found that I didn't want to create anymore; I wanted to capture. Moments in life that pass us by. Those fleeting moments need embracing. They need remembered. And this is my true passion in photography. What can be viewed on this website is an eclectic portfolio of past and present works. While it's not what I'm most passionate about, I still like to do photo shoots that require setting up lights and reflectors. My new project and art takes the direction of multiple images in a series that focus on details otherwise overlooked and capturing moments.

I try to keep TFCD/TFP shoots to a minimum. I will usually only do TF projects if I contact you first or if you have something to offer that will improve my portfolio.
