About Me

I started photography in high school by learning the technicals in double period shop class from my teacher Mr. "Flash" Gordon.  I gain my skills by photographing everything from photojournalism and sports photography to fashion during my college years as staff photographer for NYU's Washington Square News and Photography Editor for the yearbook.  All of my early images are in kodachrome slides and black and white negatives.  After college, I went into finance which is where I still am.  I switched over to digital a few years ago, and have returned to photography.  When I did photojournalism and sports photography, it was about capturing the moment.  When I shot fashion it was about glamourizing the clothes, by capturing the colors, texture, and the lines/shape of the design.  I have a photograph that I took of Stephanie Seymour, and when I took it I was trying to show how the jacket and turtleneck made Stephanie look great, and not the other way around.  Now, I am photographing beauty and glamour which focuses on the model: the color of her hair, the allure of her eyes, the tone of her skin, the curves of her body, her beauty.
