I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to photography, "Simplicity begets beauty". I try to be minimalistic. I don't like being too complicated with colours (yup I'm Canadian), lighting (Black & White with one light is more than enough for me), background, "mise en sene", etc.

Every image I take (whether it'd be portrait or still life) I mean to capture the essence of the subject, to tell a story, to invoke an emotion. It's natural moments I like the most so I try not to be too intrusive with my subject. That isn't to say I'll just sit quietly behind my camera and wait.

In portraitures I believe that the relationship between photographer and model is paramount. I would like the model to feel very comfortable to help bring out his or her personality, but also to have fun. This is a people business after all.

A lot of photographers believe in the motto "Capture the Moments", which in itself is a good motto. However, I prefer my own, "More than Moments".
