Dancer, actor, model, world traveler, rugby player, scuba diver, animal lover. No, these aren’t a group of people gathering in a South Beach club, they are all one guy…the multi-talented, multi-faceted ZACK MATTEO.

Just who is Zack Matteo? Zack Matteo is an entertainer’s everyman. He has performed all over the world in several different mediums and his face and body grace the pages of many magazines. Born in Israel, raised in South Africa, he is the definition of multi-cultural, often mistaken for Latino, Brazillian, Cuban, and even German. Zack’s passion for people and travel has led him to every corner of the world: Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Sub Saharan Africa –you need a freaking GPS to keep up with this guy.

Zack established himself as an elite dancer and an erotic dancer, performing with an all male troop in South Africa for four years. In fact Zack was the first white dancer to dance in black clubs there. He also worked as a Cabaret dancer in Paris, danced in Asian clubs in San Francisco, Mexican clubs in L.A. (He’s an equal-opportunity artist) and performed in clubs and hotels in Las Vegas. In addition to dancing, Zack also was a fitness model, a pin-up model and played international amateur rugby. He made his movie debut in The Unveiling, a moving portrait of the lives of exotic dancers.

Zack is proud to have been at the epicenter of the best days of the South Beach club scene, entertaining male and female audiences and creating a new era in erotic dance. The South Beach scene was in its heyday and Zack danced in front of celebrities like Madonna, Versace, Calvin Klein, Prince, and Grace Jones.

One crazy time in the Florida, in Fort Lauderdale’s Club 825, Zack continued doing his amazing dance routine as police raided the room. As patrons were handcuffed and led away, Zack never broke character or missed a step. He said: “If they bust my ass, they’ll have to bust my ass dancing.”

Perhaps his most influential gig was his time as a headliner at the famous Gaiety Theater in Times Square, New York. From the late 1990’s to 2004 The Gaiety was a Mecca for male dancers and became an important chapter in New York’s sex history. The club was written about by Madonna in her Sex book. The Gaiety was a magnet for straight, gay and everything in between, frequented by the likes of Madonna, Andy Warhol, John Waters, Divine, Anna Nicole Smith, Ru Paul, designer Thierry Mugler and even Shirley MacLaine. The Gaiety will be remembered as Manhattan’s best and last male strip club, and Zack Matteo is proud to be part of that history. More importantly, the Gaiety taught Zack to completely be himself and be comfortable in the clothes he was born in.

Zack’s modeling career has taken him all over the world, posing for Blue Magazine, Dream Boys, Alluvial Entertainment, and others. He loves meeting new people and seeing new places saying, “ I can get off a plane in a foreign city and make ten friends in ten minutes.” Recently, Zack has also concentrated on body building, hitting the gym hard daily and hoping to soon enter competitions.

Zack Matteo lights up any room he enters. He’s a free spirit who’s totally open and honest, comfortable revealing himself physically and spiritually.

He’s an honest straight shooter and looks for these qualities in others. A dynamic performer who literally HAS NO FEAR, Zack is game for anything.
