Vanessa Parto is an artist in every sense of the word; uncovering beauty that some were unaware they had. Having a natural knack for aesthetics, Vanessa was constantly approached to do makeup and hair for family and friends. It was soon after that she realized her talent needed to be more than just a hobby. In 2006, Vanessa graduated from the world renowned Blanche Macdonald Freelance Makeup Artistry Program and began her career as a makeup artist that has been booming ever since.

Vanessa has worked at the Beauty Boutique and Holt Renfrew in Vancouver where she received training from all of the prestigious cosmetic lines such as Nars, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown and Stila, to name a few. She has also received formal training from many skincare companies such as La Mer, and freestanding companies such as MAC cosmetics.
Now, as a freelance artist with tons of experience under her belt, her recent work includes bridal makeup and hair, beauty and fashion makeup for photo shoots, music videos, editorial spreads, and print. Knowing that her talents extended further than makeup, Vanessa added Hair Stylist to her already elaborate resume, graduating from John Casablancas Hair Art Design Program in 2011. Vanessa is currently working at Style Lab Headquarters in Yaletown where she is taking both makeup and hair clients.

With a range of skills and a plethora of work experience in the industry, Vanessa hopes to further her career by using her love of fashion to do more editorial, fashion and print work. But rest assured, whatever task she's given, Vanessa will take into consideration exactly who you are and how you want to project yourself to the world.
