Cherry’s creative eye was developed whilst gaining her diploma in fashion design. It was further honed during her time designing hats for her millinery business.

Although she is not at all hesitant to go on the road, she mainly photographs out of Vancouver, BC. Other cities that had a strong formative effect upon her are Niagara Falls (who wouldn’t be influenced by all those neon lights and kitsch), Toronto and Helsinki.

She is motivated by playing with the subtleties of light, conveying mood and bringing the fleeting to a standstill so it can be better appreciated. Creative portraiture, fine art, beauty and, of course, fashion are her areas of focus.
