I never saw styling as a career; it was just something I was good at. I could dress people very well and my creativity was just different. Somewhere between leaving college and becoming a regular corporate Jane, it became clear to me that this was more than a casual talent - I had an eye for things most didn't. And I was tired of just having a "job" instead of a career, something I was adamantly against. Everyone around me had been saying it for years, it was time I started listening and approach my gift seriously. I started documenting my work and assembling my portfolio, and here we are today.

I can't tell you what separates me from the competition or even that there's a science to how I work, I just do. People have asked me how I create, what leads me to the combos I make, from colors to prints, and I've never had an answer! I just get a visual in my head, and I run with it. I'm very much into letting the art speak for itself - and it does! I try not to be too influenced by "trends" and the competition, focusing soley on the client and my vision. I've been at this for about 10 yrs, but professionally for 3. My ultimate career goals are to obtain a Fash Merchandising BA w/a Minor in Design, and work on building my brand - SOLITAIRE {styles}. I'm eager to meet models, photogs and designers who are on the rise and just as hungry as I am to create! If that's you, we should talk ;)

TF shoots are welcome as long as all parties involved are assets to the project - so if you've got a pretty face but don't study how to improve you're modeling skills (poses, face/body consciousness) or a photog that's not practicing & studying his/her craft, I'm not interested. Send me a msg for my rates. I'm more inclined to retainer clients vs one time gigs, more bang for your buck, but all are welcome.
