I am an amateur photographer, or rather a serious hobbyist, who started out with a lousy digital camera but is now (too) deeply involved with film cameras and the analog image capture process. I like taking photos of people, mostly portraits, using analog cameras & film. My main passion is large format photography (4x5 view cameras) and black & white film. I can also do color but prefer b&w for the tones.

I started out taking photos in the streets but now I'd rather do set photoshoots in a studio. I have worked with a couple of professional models and I'm keen to learn & do more of this type of photography. Be aware that my work process is kinda different from that of a digital photographer. My choice of equipment (large format cameras) and media (film) means I work slower but also more thoughtfully. It won't be run & gun or wham-bam-thank-you-maam as digital photography will be. My photo sessions will be very slow (sometimes up to 3 minutes for 1 shot) and also requires more planning & art direction I guess. But don't be afraid, we're in this together and we can both learn from this.

Until further notice, I will be working without make up artists (MUA's) and without wardrobe people. Think portrait, not fashion. So you'll have to wear your own wardrobe & be your own MUA.

My main goal & reason for joining MM is to meet and work with talented models in my locale who share the same artistic goals & aesthetic ideas as I do. If you haven't been shot on large format b&w film before, try me, you might be surprised :)
