About Me

I am a full-time Family Portrait and Real Estate Photographer.

As a teen I had an extensive camera collection. We were not well off, so I acquired most of my cameras from yard sales or as gifts. All of the cameras were film, of course, and some if them even worked!

My prize camera was a 35mm Mamiya/Sekor. This camera was fully functioning and gave me the opportunity to attend photography class in high school. I can still remember the smell of the chemicals we used to develop the film.

After graduation I joined the military. A house burned my mother's home to the ground and my camera collection was lost in the fire.

I never had the ability to rebuild my collection and I had to contend with point and shoot cameras until the digital age. Nowadays, pro style cameras are readily accessible and some people even take amazing pictures with their iPhone.

I went to school for the National Guard at Ft. Meade, Maryland and earned the military operational specialty of Photojournalist.

Shooting with the Washington National Guard gave me the opportunity to photograph many interesting events and taught me to shoot in the move. Our commander was well connected as a photojournalist and we had many professional photographers volunteer their time to conduct workshops for our unit.

"I met Christopher through a friend locally and had the chance to meet up with him for lunch. We weren’t able to arrange a photoshoot the first time we met before he left for Korea, but two years later finally did a shoot during a visit. Absolutely stunning, soft photos! I’m so glad we finally got the chance to shoot : )" Read less
