POSHE and LAPOSHE were launched by Camesha Powell from Kingston, Jamaica, who is now based in New York. Camesha is a true fashionista who expresses her creative vision by drawing inspiration from fashion, art and music. She describes herself as “an island girl with a city chic heart and the style to match.”

Camesha started her career as a fashion model and became a fashion designer, stylist and entrepreneur. “My personality loves variety and change. I feed off being kept enticed and curious. I love seeing my creations come to life and I am delighted in seeing how people react to them. I welcome challenges and fashion keeps my mind active, knowing I always have to create something fresh, different and innovative.”
