I pretty much started out doing photography as a hobby. I predominantly photographed bands and events, but I always made sure that I offered the results to the event organizers and the various bands and performers. As time went by it became expected that I would shoot certain events. Several bands and artists used my shots on they websites as well as on Facebook which was fine with me. you can't get too much exposure I suppose. Finally I was asked to photograph a live mannequin fashion event in a large mall. I was finally getting paid and recognized for my work. I was offered more editorial type work such as mall openings, but I was also invited to work with a high quality life style magazine and to do background shoots for a couple of elaborate productions. By background work I mean shooting makeup and hair styling sessions, as well as the actual productions. As I've become more and more recognized by models and MUAs I receive increasing requests to do portfolio work as well as architectural shoots for event venues. I will still contribute my time for certain events, but generally charge "reasonable" rates for probably 80% of my work.
