Ok so I run an event company which is not the best start for a Bio for a Photographer. However; I got so fed up with such low quality images for my website I bought a DSLR in May 2012. Since then I've spent an obscene amount of time taking pictures, reading and watching 'how to' tips on making better pictures. I'm also currently under going personal consultations with Earl Newton from Paderborn, Germany to further my Photography skills.

If I was to gauge my position in the market right now I'd say I was making inroads as an Event Photographer. Unlike most portraiture work you have virtually no control over lighting your subject and you're often in very low-light conditions. Getting it right 'in camera' is a must if you want to avoid throwing out unusable material and it's often the case that you just get one chance at capturing that moment.

I love the challenge and constrictions set upon me, the feeling of not being in control and somehow harnessing the environment to get a great shot. Ultimately I'm looking to expand in the Event Photography field, which should also include runway, lifestyle and sports photography but I'm also interested in moving into various forms portraiture work too.

If there's one thing I've learnt in life and that is never to confine yourself. The world never stops moving so neither should you.

I've joined ModelMayhem to make a positive and psychological step as a photographer. We have to start somewhere and I believe MM could well be the right place to communicate with the right people with similar goals.
