Hi! I am Ando Karakawa, the founder of Karakawa Photoworks. Glad to meet you. :)
Karakawa Photoworks is a collection of my artworks, specialise in portrait.

According to me, a portrait is not a likeness. The moment an emotion or fact is transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an opinion. There is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth. You don't take photograph, but you make it. Because photograph is an art, and art has no limits.
You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the things you have experienced, and the people you have loved.

There's always been a story behind the photograph I make, by combining the photography and telling the story that we can share, enjoy and appreciate.

I would like to do a photoshoot together with You for any concepts. I want to do many unique concepts of photography, so please feel free to contact me. I'd be glad to collaborate and make a great art with you.
