I am currently working with a music video director out of NYC on a feature Sci-Fi film about Mae Jing, a bright young student entomologist working toward her doctorate under her professor/boyfriend at a top research university. In her studies she helped to isolate a gene that appeared to be responsible for the post-coital cannibalistic behavior of the female preying mantis toward her mate. Concurrently her highly regarded mentor and love interest had been developing an advanced viral delivery system for use in gene therapy. After learning of her boyfriend's infidelity, heart broken and furious Mae Jing sneaks into the research facility at night and introduces the Mantis gene into her own body using the newly developed viral delivery system...witness the birth of Mia Mantis!!
